Many aerial & satellite installers advertise they can install Motorised Satellite Dishes, but there's a wide range from a genuinely experienced motorised satellite installer installing consistently high level installations, installers who have experience in other areas [aerials & sky dish fitting usually], but lack all round experience & the engineering skills needed, also ran installers/Mr nice but have a go, poor installations with poorly chosen cheap products that require endless call backs & don't last for years & years to the down right daft or worse, dangerous.
Good basic measures to look for: good initial surveys, good safety first installer, good choice of well tested installation equipment, having a waiting list & taking longer than an hour or two [for motorised], achieving good results on the weakest satellites for the area & dish size, achieving big arcs [if the line of sight is available that's up to & over 70 degrees east or west & subject to available active satellites as a maxiumum, not 30 or 45 degrees] & then after the installation is completed, the resultant installation taking strong winds year on year.
